The world is waking up to a simple truth: doing good is not charity, it’s prevention. A mental well-being workout that strengthens resilience and connection.

The world is waking up to the power of social engagement. A comprehensive study conducted by Marketagent, the leading institute for survey research in Central Europe, across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland has confirmed what many of us have felt for years: volunteering and social connection are not just acts of kindness, they are essential to mental well-being.

The findings show that people who actively engage in volunteering report higher life satisfaction, stronger resilience, more optimism, and even better sleep compared to those who don’t. In a world struggling with loneliness, burnout, and rising mental health costs, this evidence could not be more timely.

Media Coverage Across Borders

The study and the Social Friday vision behind it have caught the attention of respected media outlets across Europe and beyond. Coverage has appeared in:

Vatican News – highlighting the importance of rethinking volunteering as a “mental well-being workout.”

Der Standard and Krone – two of Austria’s leading newspapers, underlining the positive link between volunteering and happiness.

Leadersnet – emphasizing Social Friday’s role as a gamechanger for business and community connection.

NÖN and Salzburg24 – showing how engagement strengthens resilience and local communities.

Nau.ch and Sunshine.ch – bringing the message into Switzerland’s national conversation on mental health.

The Globe and Mail – one of Canada’s most respected newspapers, connecting Social Friday to workplace productivity and global relevance.

This wave of recognition shows that the conversation about mental health, loneliness, and new cultural habits is no longer local, it is global.

Why It Matters

Governments now call loneliness an epidemic. Companies face soaring costs from burnout and disengagement. Communities feel increasingly fractured. This study, conducted by Marketagent, proves what Social Friday has championed since 2017: doing good is not charity, it is prevention. Social engagement is a mental fitness workout. A habit that strengthens people, teams, and societies. And by anchoring it on Fridays, the most unproductive hours of the week, Social Friday turns lost time into shared value.

A Cultural Shift in Motion

The fact that such a broad range of media, from Vatican News to The Globe and Mail, are covering this story is proof that the idea resonates everywhere. It crosses borders, industries, and cultures. This isn’t only about volunteering. It’s about rethinking how we live, how we connect, and how we spend our most valuable resource: time. And now, thanks to the rigorous data from Marketagent, we have clear evidence that this cultural shift is not only inspiring but measurable.

A Call to Action

The evidence is clear. The media response is strong. The need is urgent. Fridays are waiting. The hours are already there. All it takes is the choice to use them differently. Explore more coverage and read the full media mentions on our PRESS page.

What if the weakest hours of the week became the strongest? Social Friday makes it possible.

Reinventing Fridays: From Lost Hours to Living Habits

By Fikret Zendeli

Every Friday, millions of us drift. Not in cars or trains, but in spirit. Focus fades, meetings are skipped, and energy is gone. The week feels over, yet the weekend has not truly begun. These hours are lost, forgotten, wasted.

But what if we used them differently?

That is the idea behind Social Friday. A simple shift with powerful impact: step away from routine, come together, and use those hours to do good. Not as duty. Not as charity. But as a habit, as natural as checking your phone.

More Than Free Time

The world has been debating how much we should work. But the real question isn’t just about hours. It is about meaning.

Free time alone doesn’t solve loneliness. Consumption doesn’t cure emptiness. More distraction only makes us feel more divided.

The challenge of our time is not how to work less. It is how to live better.

Why Fridays Matter

Fridays already reveal the cracks. Focus is gone. Attention drifts. The hours slip away. And yet, this is time we all share. Imagine if it became our common ritual.

What if Fridays were not about escape, but about connection? Not the weakest hours of the week, but the strongest.

Proof That It Works

The evidence is clear. A 2025 study across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland found that people who volunteer report higher life satisfaction, stronger resilience, more optimism, and even better sleep. Other research shows volunteering reduces stress, builds empathy, and strengthens communities.

Doing good isn’t a sacrifice. It is prevention. A workout for the mind. A reset for the soul.

And unlike most habits of our age, it creates no waste. No shopping bags. No emissions. Only connection and contribution.

A Ripple Across Society

Social Friday began with teams volunteering on Friday afternoons. But it doesn’t stop there. It can ripple through every part of society.

Mental Health: A social habit that prevents burnout and loneliness.

Workplaces: Stronger teams, deeper purpose, and healthier cultures.

Education: Young people learning empathy, cooperation, and resilience.

Technology: Using gamification and AI to make social good part of daily life.

Sustainability: Less consumption, more contribution. Fridays with impact, not waste.

Culture: Music, fashion, and sport turning Social Friday into a badge of belonging.

This isn’t only about volunteering. It is about rewriting the habits of a disconnected world.

A New Ritual of Togetherness

Governments warn of loneliness. Companies pay the price of burnout. Communities feel the divide. But policy and programs alone cannot fix this. We need new rituals.

Social Friday is one of them. A ritual that repeats until it becomes culture. Just as gyms reshaped how we think about health, or recycling bins reshaped how we think about waste, Social Friday can reshape how we think about connection.

A Call to Humanity

Time is the most precious resource we share. Wasting it together is not only careless. It is a tragedy.

The choice is simple. This Friday, step away from the screen. Step outside. Do something that matters.

Because when we dare to use our time differently, we don’t just reinvent Fridays. We reinvent ourselves. And maybe, just maybe, we reinvent the world we share.

Fridays are waiting. Let’s make them count.

Discover how the first Social Friday in Uganda transformed an ordinary Friday into a powerful day of purpose, laughter, and community impact. Most people treat Fridays like an afterthought. A bridge between exhaustion and escape. But something different happened in Uganda. On a day the world usually clocks out, people showed up. They stepped in. And they created something worth remembering. This was Social Friday. And it was just the beginning.

Not Just an Event. A Shift.

The first official Social Friday in Uganda didn’t start with fireworks. It started in a circle. Strangers sat together. Talked about their communities. Their challenges. Their hopes. And what they could actually do to help. Not someday. Right now.

Ideas started pouring in.

– Support for teen mothers so they can stay in school

– Training at vocational schools

– Creative expression for young people with publishing support

– Financial literacy

– Chess as a tool for growth

It wasn’t theoretical. It was personal. Real people, real solutions, in real time.

And Then the Laughter Took Over

After the deep talk came the joy. Games. Music. Photo moments. People who’d never met before laughing like old friends. No one wanted to leave. Because for a few hours, this didn’t feel like work. It felt like purpose.

This is why Social Friday works

Because it’s not about charity. It’s not about corporate boxes to tick. It’s about making time for what matters and doing it together. People said they’d do it again. But longer. With more people. More stories. More meaning.

Here’s what they said

“Absolutely would do it again. I’d just add a networking table so brands can collaborate.” – Vocale Afrika

“Let’s call ourselves the Social Fixers.” – The Story People

“The theme song? ‘Counting Stars.’ That’s the energy we had.” – Shakes Travel

“I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s just starting. Next time, I’ll bring a friend.” – Kelele Arts Foundation

What’s Next

This wasn’t just Uganda’s first Social Friday. It was a spark. A sign that something human and hopeful is catching on. A new way to look at time. A chance to build something better together.

Cinderella Nakyira, the Social Friday Ambassador in Uganda, put it best:

“It takes a lot of boldness to pioneer something, unsure if people will even show up. But we did. And we’ll do it again.”

What if Your Friday Looked Like This

You don’t need permission to start. You just need a circle. A conversation. An intention. Then watch what happens. Because when we change how we spend our time, we change what we value. And that might be the most important change of all.

Ready to turn your Fridays into something meaningful? Join the movement. Host or attend the next Social Friday.

[Get Involved →]

The Bigger Picture: Why Social Friday Matters Globally

Social Friday started with a simple question: What if we used the least productive time of our week to do the most good? From Switzerland to Uganda, the concept is catching on. It turns Friday afternoons into a global rhythm of purpose and togetherness. This isn’t about volunteering once a year. It’s about weaving social connection, awareness, and contribution into our routines.

In a world where burnout and disconnection are on the rise, Social Friday offers a new kind of productivity—one built on community, compassion, and creativity. By reimagining how we spend our Fridays, we shift the focus from exhaustion to engagement, from scrolling to showing up.

What We Learned From Uganda’s First Social Friday

Here are three takeaways that stood out:

Small groups can spark big ideas
With just over a dozen participants, meaningful conversations and creative community ideas flourished. It proved that impact doesn’t require a massive turnout, just committed people and clear intention.

Fun fuels participation
When joy and purpose come together, people stay longer, engage deeper, and leave more inspired. That’s the Social Friday formula: light-hearted energy paired with real impact.

Everyone has something to offer
From laughter during games to bold ideas in brainstorming, every participant brought something to the table. The sense of belonging was palpable, even for first-time volunteers.

Frequently Asked: Can My Company or Group Join?

Absolutely. Whether you’re a team of five or a company of five hundred, Social Friday offers a flexible format. You can host your own event, join one organized by a nonprofit, or collaborate cross-industry. The goal is simple: connect with each other while doing good for your community.

Organizations that take part often find that team morale increases, creativity improves, and employer branding gets a powerful boost. Plus, the experience sticks, many teams go on to organize Social Fridays regularly. Because repetition is key to forming lasting habits, these ongoing events help embed purpose and connection into company culture over time.

Reinventing Fridays: A New Era

We’ve all been there, right? That feeling of dragging through the week, watching the clock tick closer to the weekend. The last hours of Friday are often spent counting down the minutes until you can check out, switch off, and zone out.

Nowadays, whether you’re working from home in your living room or in the office, something feels… off. There’s a disconnect. At home, it’s easy to drift into isolation. At the office, the buzz is quieter than before. Either way, the energy’s just not there, and the finish line seems further away than ever.

But what if Fridays could be more? What if the time that so many of us waste could be the most valuable hours of our week?

At Social Friday, we believe Fridays aren’t just the end of the week—they’re a chance to start something extraordinary.

The Cost of Disconnection

Every year, millions of people around the world sit in the same “waiting for the weekend” trap. And as we scroll endlessly through our screens, disconnected from what truly matters, we’re missing out on something vital: connection.

Loneliness affects nearly a quarter of the global population, and in the U.S. alone, it costs the economy $154 billion every year. Let that sink in—$154 billion, a price tag on isolation. It’s not just an emotional cost; it’s a real, tangible one.

And beyond loneliness, unproductive time drains resources too. Friday afternoons, the least productive hours of the workweek, cost the U.S. economy $1.9 trillion annually. These aren’t just numbers—they’re missed opportunities, wasted potential, and communities that could be stronger, more connected, and more resilient.

Challenging the Status Quo

Throughout human history, true progress has only happened when brave individuals and movements dared to challenge the status quo. At Social Friday, we’re doing just that.

We’re not accepting the idea that Fridays are just an ‘end’ to the week. We’re asking a bigger question: What if the end of the week became the beginning of something greater? What if we used Fridays to bring people together, support one another, and tackle our biggest challenges?

Imagine using gamification tools—not to boost sales, but to amplify social engagement, fostering connection and a sense of purpose. What if fashion became a vehicle for awareness, with styles that spark conversations and showcase causes? Or reality TV that doesn’t just entertain but inspires viewers to take action in their own communities?

Social Friday is about turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, using every tool at our disposal to build a movement that’s as dynamic and diverse as the people it brings together.

A Movement in Motion

The movement comes at a pivotal time, as debates around four-day workweeks gain traction globally. While some advocate for an extra day off, Social Friday asks a different question:

What if that extra day became a day to unite, to serve, to inspire?

Instead of scrolling screens and consuming more, Social Friday envisions Fridays as a chance to create meaningful moments, tackle mental well-being challenges, and even reduce our environmental footprint by shifting from consumption to contribution.

Turning Connection Into Action

How? By coming together. By volunteering. By spending time with people who need it, with causes that matter, with communities that can’t wait for support. Through Social Friday, companies, non-profits, and individuals unite to create something that lasts long after the Friday afternoon ends.

For Companies:
You’re not just filling up time—you’re building stronger teams. Employees who feel connected to their work and their peers are happier, healthier, and more engaged. And when employees are engaged, they stick around.

For Employees:
Volunteering is more than just doing good—it’s good for you. It’s a workout for your mental well-being. It reduces stress, boosts happiness, and creates a sense of belonging. Doing good feels good, and that positive energy doesn’t stop when the workday does.

For Non-Profits:
Hosting Social Friday events means more eyes on your mission, more hands on deck, and more people rallying behind your cause. It’s a chance to expand your reach, build your community, and make lasting change.

For Society:
Stronger communities start with the people in them. Social Friday isn’t just about helping—it’s about building bridges, asking the big questions, and making sure we leave the world a little better than we found it.

Questions That Build Change

But the magic doesn’t stop at the immediate impact. Social Friday moments spark something deeper: questions.

When people come together to give back, they start asking the big questions—about what really matters, how they can help, and what kind of world they want to create. These aren’t just fleeting thoughts; they’re the foundation for answers, solutions, and actions.

These questions ignite conversations that challenge us to do better, to be better, and to rethink how we live, work, and contribute. They push us beyond the ordinary, inspiring a collective shift toward purpose and possibility.

Social Friday isn’t just about one day; it’s about reshaping the way we think about our time, our relationships, and our role in the world.

A Habit. A Lifestyle. A Movement.

It’s about creating a habit. A lifestyle. It’s about making Fridays something more than just a countdown to the weekend.

It’s about turning Fridays into a movement—one that starts with us, but doesn’t stop there.

It’s about making giving back a way of life.

It’s about Reinventing Fridays together.

We believe that all change starts with a single idea. Ours began with transforming unproductive Friday afternoons into moments of impact.

Letter from the Founder – Reinventing Fridays for Connection and Well-Being

The Question That Started It All

When I started Social Friday in 2017, I was not planning a global movement. I asked myself something simple: How can we make the least productive time more meaningful, for my company and for society?

Habits Shape Who We Are

Habits shape our lives. What we repeat becomes who we are. That is why Social Friday was never meant as a one-time idea. It was born as a ritual. A habit of doing good.

Doing Good Transforms Everyone

Doing good is not just about giving to others. It is also a gift to yourself. It strengthens your mental health, nourishes your soul, and reminds you of what truly matters. In the end, the line between giver and receiver blurs. Everyone is transformed.

From Inspiration to an Ecosystem

That question—How can doing good become a habit, a lifestyle?—still drives me. Not just how to inspire people once, but how to make doing good stick. How to make it part of our identity. How to build an ecosystem that keeps it alive and growing.

Rethinking Volunteering

To achieve this, we have to challenge outdated views of volunteering. Forget the clichés of obligation or pity. Doing good should feel dynamic. Like a mental workout. A way to energize your well-being while creating real impact.

The Mental Health Challenge

Mental health has become one of the biggest challenges of our time. More free time alone will not fix it. Without purpose, free time often leads to more consumption. More screens, more distractions, more things we do not need. That path empties us. Connection fills us.

Why Belonging Matters

Human beings need belonging. Covid showed us this truth with force. Yet offline interactions keep declining. Our sense of community is shrinking. Misunderstanding and division are growing. Without connection, society weakens.

Social Friday as the Alternative

Social Friday offers a bold alternative. We take the least productive hours of the week and turn them into purpose. Fridays become a chance to create awareness, strengthen communities, and promote well-being. Companies, nonprofits, and individuals join forces and build a new rhythm.

Gamification for Lasting Change

Gamification makes this rhythm sustainable. Just as fitness trackers push us to move, Social Friday motivates us to act. Repetition builds belonging. Belonging builds resilience. And resilience is what society needs most today.

The Ecosystem Ahead

The vision goes beyond one day. The true goal is to build an ecosystem. An ecosystem where nonprofits are seen as providers of mental fitness. Where companies invest in well-being through connection. Where individuals feel part of something bigger each week. Where society values togetherness as highly as productivity.

What Comes Next

This is only the beginning. The one question—How can doing good become a habit?—remains our spark. It inspires new frontiers in fashion, gamification, music, reality TV, and schools. Each project strengthens the ecosystem and opens doors to possibilities we once thought impossible.

A Declaration and an Invitation

Social Friday is more than an initiative. It is a declaration: connection matters, mental health matters, and doing good must become a lifestyle. My invitation is clear. Join us. Reinvent Fridays. Not as an ending to the week, but as a beginning. A launchpad for belonging, purpose, and impact. Together we can build an ecosystem where doing good is not extra. It is who we are.

In the landscape of modern innovation, the concept of a Connected Society is not just a buzzword; it's the cornerstone of a thriving economy and a promising future.

In the landscape of modern innovation, the concept of a Connected Society is not just a buzzword; it’s the cornerstone of a thriving economy and a promising future. The initiative of Social Friday embodies this spirit, weaving together the threads of community, productivity, and economic foresight into a tapestry of collective progress.

Innovation and the Economy: The Social Friday Effect

The brilliance of Social Friday lies in its simplicity and its profound impact on the economy. By reimagining the potential of Fridays, traditionally the least productive day of the week, Social Friday transforms wasted hours into a catalyst for economic growth. It’s a forward-thinking solution to the $1.9 trillion conundrum of unproductive time, aligning perfectly with the innovative spirit that drives our economy forward.

Building a Connected Society: The Role of Social Friday

Social Friday is more than an economic strategy; it’s a social innovation that fosters a connected society. In a world where loneliness is a public health concern and an annual $154 billion cost to the US economy alone, as highlighted by the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory, Social Friday offers a remedy. It encourages individuals and organizations to engage in community service, thereby strengthening the social fabric that binds us together.

The Future is Social: The Vision of Social Friday

Looking ahead, Social Friday is not just a fleeting trend; it’s the blueprint for our future. It’s an invitation to every individual, company, and community to redefine the essence of Fridays. By embracing this initiative, we can ensure that our society remains interconnected, our economy robust, and our future bright.

Conclusion: Embracing Innovation for a Better Tomorrow

As we stand at the crossroads of innovation and tradition, Social Friday presents an opportunity to choose a path that leads to a connected society and a resilient economy. It’s a testament to the power of innovative thinking and the promise of a future where every Friday enriches our lives and society as a whole.

Let’s reinvent Fridays together.

The annual cost to the US economy due to lost productivity on Fridays is staggering, reaching a colossal $1.9 trillion.

In a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected, the importance of community connectivity cannot be overstated. As we navigate the challenges of the 21st century, it becomes evident that fostering stronger connections within our societies is a luxury and a necessity. Dr. Vivek Murthy’s groundbreaking study on social connection sheds light on the profound impact of our relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors on individual and population health, community safety, resilience, and prosperity.

Why social connection matters?

Dr. Vivek Murthy’s research highlights the multifaceted nature of social connection. It extends beyond our immediate circles to encompass our relationships with our neighborhoods, digital environments, schools, and workplaces. The structure, function, and quality of these connections play a crucial role in shaping the well-being of individuals and entire communities.

Our interconnectedness is not just a feel-good concept; it has tangible effects on our health. Studies have shown that social isolation and loneliness can be as harmful as smoking 15 cigarettes a day, contributing to a range of health issues, including cardiovascular diseases, weakened immune systems, and mental health disorders.

Recent statistics in the United States underscore the severity of the loneliness epidemic. Shockingly, 52% of Americans admit to feeling lonely, and a staggering 47% report that their relationships lack meaningful connections. These numbers paint a stark picture of a society grappling with a profound sense of isolation and disconnection.

Building bridges – breaking barriers

As we confront these alarming statistics, it becomes clear that fostering community connectivity is a personal responsibility and a collective endeavor. It’s time to break down the barriers that prevent us from forming meaningful relationships and forge connections that will enrich our lives and communities.

Increased community connectivity can take various forms, both offline and online. Initiatives that promote local engagement, such as community events, neighborhood gatherings, and collaborative projects, can help create a sense of belonging. Digital platforms, when used mindfully, can also play a significant role in connecting individuals who might be physically distant but share common interests or goals.

Educational institutions and workplaces can contribute by fostering environments that prioritize human connections. Social skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence should be integral components of curricula and corporate culture. By emphasizing the value of strong interpersonal relationships, we can empower individuals to build connections that go beyond the surface level.

Why Social Friday Matters?

The annual cost to the US economy due to lost productivity on Fridays is staggering, reaching a colossal $1.9 trillion. This significant financial toll underscores the need for innovative approaches to reclaiming this unproductive time.

Enter Social Friday, an initiative challenging the status quo by promoting social activities that foster team bonding and have the potential to enhance overall productivity. This initiative seeks to make positive changes in the workplace dynamic and in fostering a more collaborative and engaging environment, thereby addressing the economic impact of lost productivity on Fridays.

$1,900,000,000,000 annual cost to the US economy due to lost productivity on Fridays

Social Friday matters because it creates a profound sense of belonging. As people come together as one, they contribute to building a better society, helping the community, and fostering a harmonious relationship with nature. Social Friday may not be the sole solution to loneliness, but it undoubtedly serves as a valuable and impactful avenue to combat it.

By fostering social connections and encouraging community engagement, Social Friday contributes significantly to enhancing mental health and well-being. Through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and a sense of togetherness, individuals participating in Social Friday events can find support and understanding, ultimately contributing to a healthier and more connected community. While not a cure-all, Social Friday plays a crucial role in prevailing over loneliness and creating positive mental health outcomes through the power of social connections.

The ripple effect

The benefits of increased community connectivity extend far beyond individual well-being. A society that values and invests in social connection experiences greater resilience in the face of challenges. Strong social ties contribute to community safety, as people are more likely to look out for one another and collaborate in times of need.

Moreover, connected communities are better positioned to address societal issues collectively. Whether it’s tackling environmental challenges, addressing mental health stigma, or advocating for social justice, communities with robust connections can harness the power of collective action to drive positive change.

In conclusion, the path to a brighter future lies in recognizing the transformative potential of increased community connectivity. Dr. Vivek Murthy’s research serves as a compelling reminder of the profound impact that our relationships have on our health and the overall well-being of our societies.

By prioritizing and nurturing these connections, we can create a world where loneliness is replaced by a sense of belonging, and individual empowerment paves the way for a more prosperous and resilient future. It’s time to take action and build the foundations of a society where everyone is connected, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Let’s reinvent Fridays TOGETHER!

In a world brimming with challenges and complexities, artists have long held a unique position as catalysts for change and champions of societal transformation.

In a world brimming with challenges and complexities, artists have long held a unique position as catalysts for change and champions of societal transformation. They wield the power of their creativity to challenge the status quo, inspire unity, and spark conversations that drive positive changes.

One initiative that has brilliantly harnessed the artistic community’s potential is Social Friday. With each stroke of their brushes and click of their cameras, artists are not merely contributing; they are sculpting the very fabric of Social Friday’s impact.

Klaas Kaat

Artists, by nature, are visionaries. They perceive the world in ways that often escape the ordinary eye. Klaas Kaat, a contributing artist to Social Friday, left an indelible mark through his poster. For Kaat, being part of Social Friday resonated personally. He witnessed the initiative’s evolution from its inception, propelling him to contribute his talent to a cause he truly believed in. His poster radiates the core values of Social Friday – unity, challenging norms, and creating a better world. By visualizing a hopeful future, Kaat’s design embodies the essence of the initiative.

Dmitry Sliva

Dmitry Sliva, another artist who joined hands with Social Friday, recognized the power of art to ignite action. His depiction of a person ensnared by comfort, juxtaposed with the potential for active engagement, speaks volumes. Sliva’s work encapsulates the very transformation that Social Friday aims to achieve – nudging individuals to step out of their comfort zones and embrace meaningful experiences. Through his art, Sliva encapsulates the drive to break free from the mundane and celebrate Fridays as opportunities for connection and growth.

Teresa Grandits

Teresa Grandits, another artist whose work graced the Social Friday initiative, defines success as an artist with a twofold approach. Her definition encompasses both commercial success and ideological success, where art becomes a conduit for representing principles and fostering diverse discussions. For Teresa, art serves as a bridge between microcosm and macrocosm, uniting individual experiences with the broader societal narrative. Her designs mirror the values of Social Friday – igniting togetherness, questioning norms, and championing social good.

Sanja Simoska

Sanja Simoska’s contribution shines as an embodiment of togetherness, defying the limitations that often divide us. In her design, the touch of togetherness is a touchstone for empathy and community-building, irrespective of differences. This resonates deeply with Social Friday’s mission to challenge the status quo by fostering connections that transcend barriers. Sanja’s work reveals the essential role art plays in dissolving boundaries and cultivating unity.

Aida Hdeib

Aida’s poster design is a testament to the profound impact that artists can have on global initiatives. Designing the official poster for Social Friday opened the door for Aida Hdeib to contribute her art to a cause she deeply cared about. What might have started as a fun project burgeoned into a realization of her capacity to motivate, inspire, and beautify people’s surroundings. This opportunity underscored the potential for an individual’s creative expression to shape a worldwide movement, planting the seed for future endeavors.

In the grand tapestry of societal transformation, artists are the weavers of change. Their innate ability to challenge norms, ignite conversations, and champion positive shifts positions them as natural allies of initiatives like Social Friday. Their artwork doesn’t merely adorn the walls; it transforms them into mirrors reflecting the world as it is and as it could be.
As Klaas Kaat, Dmitry Sliva, Teresa Grandits, Sanja Simoska, Aida Hdeib, and countless other artists contribute their unique perspectives to Social Friday, they reinforce the initiative’s values, amplify its mission, and sculpt a society where togetherness, progress, and positivity reign.

In a world where complacency can often take root, artists remain the vanguards of change, continually questioning the status quo and inspiring us all to embrace Fridays not merely as the end of the week, but as an opportunity for connection, growth, and societal evolution.
As the journey of Social Friday continues, let us remember that in the hands of artists, our aspirations are not just dreams – they become the vibrant reality of a better world. And who else might be a better representation of a person challenging the status quo rather than the artists themselves?

Are you ready to dip your brushes into the Social Friday initiative?

Have you ever thought that the word resume can mean to resume something we have started? To explore more and to do more.

Resume. Have you ever thought that the word resume can mean to resume something we have started? To explore more and to do more. Creating a resume is the easiest thing to do, but what’s in it means so much more.

Think about a situation where someone asked you to describe yourself in five words. How much time did that take? Well, now imagine describing yourself in more than five words. And voilà! You have your perfect resume.

The power of skills

If you open a resume template, you can see that the skills are placed at the bottom. Computer skills? Check. Social skills? Double-check! It’s something we include in our resume to bring additional value to it. But, skills are much more. They build our careers and most importantly, our lives. To be a public speaker, you must have public-speaking skills. And if you are an introvert, oops! Good luck to you.

To become something, you must learn and improve all the time. People’s efforts transferred into something valuable can last forever. So, why not start now?

Boost your resume

What does boosting your resume mean? Well, we’re going to talk more about that in the next paragraphs.

Boosting a resume means adding extra value to something you already have, your skills. Most people are social and they continuously work on their social skills. However, to be social requires much more. It means being around other people and learning from them; their gestures and the way they talk and act; it means to learn from each other and to learn together, constantly.

People sometimes boost their resumes to get a better job or to get paid more. But the reality is that people should strive to do more regardless. They should go for experiences and sharing stories, instead of a paragraph saying they have computer skills.

Learn from others

This is not a blog where you can read about 10 Ways to Boost Your Resume. We are here to serve you as a reminder to use what you already have. And the proper way to do that is through Social Friday events. We, as human beings, are built from emotions, empathy, and kindness. And we often forget to use the most natural skills we are born with.

But the concept of Social Friday is a great example to remind us how we can boost our resumes with our natural skills. Awareness is the sparkplug for change. Being aware of your capabilities can be your greatest gift. So, let’s turn your natural skills into a boost for your resume.

Be an example

The easy part is to create a resume template, and the hardest part is to fill it. To help you out, we’re going to talk more about Social Friday events.

The best way to turn unproductive hours into valuable work is by volunteering at Social Friday events. They happen four times a year, matching the corporate cycle of quarterly reports. It’s way more fun to upgrade your skills by doing a good deed, right?

So, what are the benefits of volunteering on Social Friday events? Boosting your resume is just the beginning, but you will also:

set a sign for a better society and a healthier economy,

develop new skills

make a good impression in front of your future employers,

widen your network

contribute positively to the wider and local community life.

An additional thing for your resume – You will become a great example for others!

Doing good can bring value to others but also to ourselves. By participating in social events, we create stories and memories. And let’s be real, what’s a better way to spice things up, than inviting your friends to a Social Friday event?

Let’s join teams and create invaluable experiences on next Social Friday on June 24th!
