COP26 has ended – and it’s hard to escape the sense of impending catastrophic doom that shrouded it. If world leaders find it so tough to agree about how to save the only planet we live on, what hope do we mere mortals have?

Quite a lot, as it happens.

Big change starts at the smaller, local level – and sometimes, all it takes to change the world is to challenge old, bad habits and replace them with new ones. At Social Friday, that’s exactly what we’re doing, and we want you to join us!

In just one day, we believe you can achieve more than global leaders at COP26. Interested?

What’s Social Friday and Why Should I Care?

Social Friday is a global event that gives you a feel-good, guilt-free, and fun way to skip work and do your part to save the world. After all, who really wants to work on Fridays?

Our first global event will be on Black Friday 2021, offering an alternative to a $9 billion consumerist rampage that damages the environment through excess waste and CO2 emissions.

(It’s also a dismal show of antisocial consumer behavior…)

In contrast, Social Friday is about turning the most unproductive day of the working week into something that benefits local social causes and communities.

At the same time, we’re also big on having fun – who said you must be serious when you’re changing the world?

Who Is Social Friday For?

Businesses, NGOs, student organizations, and beyond are all welcome to join Social Friday. Rather than fight the work productivity dead zone that is Friday afternoon, why not use that time to give back to your local community?

Not only will this help to boost your company culture through team-building that has a visible impact – it also helps to boost your business’ productivity for the rest of the working week.

Why Should Your Company Join Social Friday?

Let’s be honest: nobody really wants to work on a Friday. Instead of being chained to a desk, we’d all rather be doing something, well, a little (or a lot!) more fun.

All work and no play doesn’t just make Jack a dull boy: it also leads to counterproductive productivity slumps.

Social Friday lets employees skip finalizing that boring report to do something fun to make a genuine impact in their community.

Over to You: Stop Collecting Stuff – Start Collecting Experiences!

It’s time to stop collecting more stuff that we don’t really need and start collecting meaningful experiences that stay with you for a lifetime.

Social Friday is the new, social way to mark Black Friday by turning this antisocial event into a community-driven, social one.

Get out of the office this Black Friday and make a difference to your community and the global environment the fun way!
