Skopje, November 6, 2024 — “The Big Kickoff” event, held at Laboratorium, brought together HR leaders from some of Macedonia’s most prominent companies to set the stage for the upcoming global Social Friday event on December 13th.

A significant part of the event was the unveiling of Social Friday’s new branding, designed by Relish, which leans into the themes of sports and competition. The new identity emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and the spirit of community-building—qualities inherent in sports—creating a strong foundation for a global movement. To complement the new brand, Social Friday introduced the SF United Jersey, which each participating company can order with a custom version featuring their logo. This kickoff marked the beginning of a friendly, international competition starting with Macedonian companies, challenging them to lead the way in corporate social responsibility on December 13th.

New Partnership with FitKit Enhances Access to Volunteering Opportunities

Social Friday also announced a new partnership with FitKit, a platform that makes it easy for companies to organize social impact activities. Starting in December, companies using FitKit for their employees will be able to book activities with partner NGOs directly on the platform. This partnership transforms FitKit into a marketplace where NGOs can list their volunteering activities, and employees can browse and book these opportunities, creating a seamless match between companies and causes.

Trailblazing Macedonian Companies Lead the Way

With December 13th approaching, Social Friday’s mission is clear: to put Macedonia on the global map as a leader in corporate social responsibility. Companies like Native Teams and Dekra are among those lined up to participate, ready to join this global day of community impact across nine countries, including Hong Kong and Austria.

As anticipation builds for December 13th, all interested participants—both within Macedonia and internationally—are encouraged to register for this global event. By signing up, participants will receive detailed information on how they can join Social Friday’s mission and make a meaningful difference in their communities.
