Retrospective of the Q1/23 Social Friday event

The idea is simple but powerful: with small changes locally, we can make significant changes globally.

Social Friday is a global initiative that aims to promote social responsibility and positive change in communities worldwide. The idea is simple but powerful: with small changes locally, we can make significant changes globally. By dedicating four Fridays a year to social activities, individuals and organizations can become positive examples for society and make a real impact in the world.

Participating in the Social Friday initiative is an opportunity to give back to the community while also benefiting from traditional team-building exercises. By coming together to tackle social issues, individuals and organizations can drive change and create a better future for all. Here’s the retrospective of the first Social Friday for this year – Let’s drive changes!

Marketagent

One of the participants who organized their Social Friday event was the company Marketagent, who spent the day planting trees in a beautiful place in Austria. Trees are crucial in combating climate change, and this effort by Marketagent will go a long way in making a positive impact on the environment.

BREON together with Ljubeznost

Another organization that every year supports the Social Friday initiative was the company BREON, who on their Social Friday event, together with some of the children from the Children’s home “11th October” prepared food for those in need and donated to Ljubeznost, a nonprofit organization in North Macedonia who takes care for the people in need. With many people facing food insecurity, this effort by BREON will make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

THEPTHK

And on a totally other side of the world in another continent, THEPTHK was pushing the boundaries of physical activity all the way in Hong Kong, by organizing a free fitness class with its participants. Exercise is essential for good health, and the efforts of THEPTHK will inspire many others to take up fitness and prioritize their well-being. This Social Friday, we have done so much, and the results say a lot about our effort! It’s inspiring to see the positive impact that businesses and organizations can have when they come together to make a difference.

Whether it’s volunteering at a local food bank, planting trees, or supporting a community project, there are countless ways to get involved in Social Friday. With just a few hours of their time, people can make a significant difference in the lives of those around them.

Social Friday is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the world. By dedicating four Fridays a year to social activities, we can become the change we want to see in the world and inspire others to do the same. So, let’s keep this momentum going and continue to make a positive impact on the world, one Social Friday at a time!
